Denon Electronics has released a new line of thirteen audio/video receivers this week, in what senior vice president of marketing Joe Stinziano calls the company's first redesigned lineup of receivers in ten years.
The AVR-5308CI and 4308CI models have Wi-Fi connectivity. All models are HDMI 1.3a-compatible with 1080i output, and the higher-end models have 1080p upscaling available.

Meanwhile, Sony has announced the release of its ES audio and video receivers this week. The three models, STR-DA5300ES, 4300ES, and 3300ES, are compatible with Dolby Labs' Dolby Digital +/Dolby TrueHD, dts High Resolution Audio, and dts HD Master Audio. Each model has a digital media port that accommodate a PC Wi-Fi client, Bluetooth receivers, and an additional audio docking station, and an iPod audio dock is optional.
The new models also support both 1080/60p and 24p video formats and upscale video via HDMI up to 1080p (composite, S-video, component and HDMI). They can also connect with Sirius and XM radio.
